The daunting task of buying a horse, and if you have arrived at the pre-purchase examination phase, chances are you have your sights set on that particular horse. It can be an exciting and nerve-wracking time, and our vets are often asked if the horse "passed" or "failed" the vet check. A pre-purchase examination is designed to give you a greater understanding of the horse's current health at the time of the examination, and a better understanding of the risk that you are taking.
