Position Vacant: Secretary | Jumping NSW

Jumping NSW is seeking applications for the position of Secretary, the organisation’s only remunerated role.

This position provides administrative, governance and communication support to the Jumping NSW Committee and plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the sport in our state.

We are seeking a candidate with strong knowledge of showjumping and the equestrian industry, ideally someone with long-term involvement in the sport and at least three years’ experience in an administrative role is preferred.

Position Overview
Workload is approximately one day per week on average
Flexible working hours
Remote position
$14,000 per annum (inclusive of operating costs such as phone and internet)

Key Responsibilities
The Secretary will provide administrative and governance support to Jumping NSW, including:
• Preparing meeting agendas and recording committee minutes
• Managing communications with members and officials
• Maintaining membership and official registers
• Assisting with governance, reporting and compliance obligations
• Supporting digital platforms and communication channels

Term
The successful candidate will initially be appointed for an approximately three-month period through to the end of the current financial year.
This initial period allows Jumping NSW to manage funding arrangements with Equestrian NSW before confirming ongoing funding for the role.
Following this period, the position will be renewed annually, subject to suitability and available funding.
